Crisp and salted Boondi recipe

Boondi are an Indian snack prepared with gram flour. You can eat it just like that but it's also perfect for mixtures, raita or even pani puri! This recipe is very quick and easy and all you need is:


Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup & 2 tblsp. Gram flour

  • 2 tblsp. roasted Rice flour

  • 1/8 tsp. baking Soda

  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • 1 1/4 Cups Water

  • Oil for deep frying

Method:

1. Mix all the ingredients together to a smooth batter. The batter shouldn't be very thin or thick!

2. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. When the oil is hot enough hold with one hand a kitchen skimmer over the pan and with the other hand you pour some of the batter onto it. The batter will start dropping in the hot oil. Fry it until the boondis are golden in color.

3. Then take the boondis with another kitchen skimmer out of the oil and let it get cold on a kitchen paper towel before you transfer the boondis in an airtight bowl for storage.
