Make your own Garam Masala

Ingredients:
20 gr. Coriander seeds
2 tblsp. green Cardamom
2 tblsp. black Pepper
2 tblsp. Cloves
1 tblsp. Fennel seeds
4 Star Anise
10 cm Cinnamon stick
2 Bay leaves
1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder
Method:
1. Add all the ingredients except the nutmeg powder in a pan and roast all over medium heat till all is even roasted. Stir inbetween to avoid burned spices. Then let it cool down.

2. Now powder it together with the nutmeg powder, then sieve it through a strainer to seperate the left over big pieces from it.

That's it :D Garam Masala is ready!
Spices are a big part of the Indian cuisine and one special spice mix, that is use very often, is the world famous Garam Masala. Many indian households have their own recipe and prepare it themselves but of course you can buy it in every asian supermarket too. I always make my own Garam Masala and like you could see it's very easy to prepare.
